How to set up Alexa on your website

Today will be the time to post up something that quite interesting. If you have a website, blogspot, wordpress and other platform, this will be the something that really useful for you. If you did not have, don't worry it will be something that quite useful in your future.

Did you know what is Alexa? Alexa is a site that able to audits and makes public the frequency of visits on various Web site. It is based on the amount of traffic recorded from users that have the Alexa toolbar installed over a period of three months. Not only that, you able to check out my last time post about it at http://www.marcsjy.com/2014/09/alexa-rank-on-smartphone-application.html



Have you do some set up on your Alexa? I think that doing some set up is really important so that it will be easy to be clarified. I will show some step to do the set up for Alexa.

Firstly, you need to browser www.alexa.com and also sign in if you already have an account or sign up if you still make Alexa account.

After log in, please click on My Dashboard.

You need to add your site if you are new user/ just created Alexa account. For other that already has already added, just proceed to the following.

This is what you able to see when you has add your site.

Here is the part that you needed to do some set up in Alexa. Go to the Site Management, and click on Edit Site Listing. Now you just need to fill up information that needed. Not only that you also need to choose the country for your rank that you wanted. For me, I choosing Malaysia.

By hover your mouse to the site management, you will able to see something like this.

Now you need to write the information of your site when you click on Edit Site Listing.

After that, back to the your dashboard and also the site management. Now you need to click on Claim Your Site. What you need to do is choosing the method that easier for you for the set up so that they able to track and clarified.  For me, I have chosen Method 2.
