Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is celebrating the first ever Waku Waku Japan Festival, held in conjunction with award-winning Japanese Dedicated precinct - Tokyo Street's 5th Anniversary.“Waku Waku” (わくわく) is a Japanese word for “excitement” but not just normal excitement; it is “excitement in a dream-like state.” It also implies a sense of anticipation for a marvelous occurrence.

The Waku Waku Japan Festival officially launched by Mr. Kodama Yoshinori, Minister of Japan Embassy of Malaysia, and Ms Joyce Yap, Chief Executive Officer of Retail, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, with an engaging Senbon Sakura Dance that ignited the summer festivity mood in the crowd.
